All Saints Church — Bay Head

Inreach Committee

The Inreach Committee focuses its ministry on the well being of our parish family members during particularly challenging, as well as joyous times.

Our mission is to provide support in the activities of daily living for parishioners who are shut in or recuperating from surgery. We make and deliver simple meals, write notes of cheer on a monthly basis, offer to run an errand, and, following Sunday services, bring the altar flowers to the homes of parishioners who are too ill to attend church.

Each spring, the committee acknowledges the achievements of our high school and college graduates. And, thoughout the academic year, committee members bake brownies or other treats and send them as "surprise care packages" to our college students who are away at school.

We always welcome new members, as well as suggestions for ways in which we can extend God's love in concrete ways to our parish family members who are enduring difficulties.

Cannon Memorial Scholarship

Did you graduate HS in June of 2018? Are you currently enrolled in a four year college? The Cannon Memorial Scholarship is available for you. The application and requirements, for this year only, are currently available in the church office and can be picked up during business hours. The deadline for consideration is October 1, 2018.

Church Directories

Everyone who receives email blasts via their email address should have received a digital copy of the Church Directory. This is a new service that will occur about every six months. So, no more waiting two years for an updated directory. Anyone who did not receive a digital copy, and would like a copy of the Church Directory, can contact the church office and receive a hard copy printed out for you and/or provide an email address and have a digital copy sent to you. This is not an ‘either/or’ service it is a both/and. That is, you can still request the usual hardcopy and receive a digital copy.

Lunch and Learn

Mark your calendars! The Legacy Society of All Saints Church is inviting the entire congregation to a ‘Lunch and Learn’ session following coffee hour after the 10:15 am service on October 14th. Please join us for a chance to chat with Planned Giving committee members and learn more about planned giving in support of the long-term goals of the parish — and enjoy lunch and a glass of wine!

This meeting will include testimonials of parishioners who are being inducted into our All Saints Legacy Society. They will share their stories of why they have been moved by their faith in Jesus and why they want to continue the legacy of All Saints Church by leaving some of their treasure that God has entrusted them with. Please check the self-addressed card (enclosed in the print newsletter) indicating whether you will be able to attend the Legacy Society meeting. Please drop it in the mail so it is received by October 1st.
